The annual Easter egg hunt in Colorado Springs had to be cancelled this year because of bad behavior.
It wasn’t the kids that were behaving badly though. It was the parents.
Parents jumped the gun and broke over the barriers so their children could get extra candy.
The rule-following parents who waited for the actual start of the egg hunt, lost out. The hunt was over in seconds. No candy for you.
It’s funny what parents will do for their kids.
Even for a piece of candy.
As leaders, sometimes its easy for us to jump the line. I mean, we see the candy. It’s in plain site. And we just want to do what’s best for those we love. So we grab it. Quickly. Without telling anybody what we’re doing. Breaking a few rules along the way.
And we leave some people in the dust.
In seconds, we grab our candy, and gloat about our bounty to the people that are peeved that they didn’t even get a chance to play.
They just stand back and watch, thinking we’re gigantic jerks.
You can’t lead if nobody follows.
Be sure to play well as a leader. Don’t jump the gun. Don’t be a jerk.
Take a deep breath and hunt for eggs together.
That way everybody wins.

I love how the celebration of the resurrection becomes about making sure my kid gets the best candy…
A lot of guys don’t realize what custom papers writing service is. Thus, they say that college students who buy essays are lazy. They just don’t know how hard writing is!
