Atlas of Giving, a Texas based firm that specializes in forecasting financial trends for non-profit organizations, is predicting that 2013 will be a “gloomy” year for the religious community. Matt Steen and I discuss the Atlas of Giving report, and how to handle church financial decisions for the coming year.

  1. Matt, Todd–Thanks for picking up coverage on this piece from ManagingYourChurch.com. I enjoyed your talk. One quick clarification: Around 1:07 you say that Atlas of Giving still predicts an increase in religious giving for 2013. Atlas actually forecasts a flat-to-slight-decrease in giving to the religious sector in 2013, the only charitable sector pegged for decline.
