Heard a compelling thought this past week. IF the church must work to protect the nation from homosexual marriage, why do we revel in freedom of religion which grants tacit approval for people to worship false gods? Isn’t that also an abomination (Deut. 13:13)? Shouldn’t we push to have laws abolish all false faiths (Ex. 23:33, Deut. 29:18)? Most Christians think adultery and fornication are sexual sins, but few want the state to punish those sins so they are legal. Why do we want some morality enforced with law and not all? Are there other biblical principles at work here?
Or could it be that the church should allow marriage to remain with the state (as Calvin suggested) and not worry about who the state says is “married” or not?

Agree. Homosexual marriage as a “macro” effect on society rather then individual “micro” sins.
