What does this mean for the church?

Regardless of your theological take on ‘women in ministry’, what do you make of this?

There is no doubt that women bring different strengths to the workplace… but this ‘voice’ is totally gone from many church staffs (again… take out the ‘women preaching’ argument for a minute).

Is your church missing a voice that might help lead in certain areas?

  1. Chap says:

studies show “women speak fewer words than men in a day” — that just undermined the whole presentation.

  2. Glenn says:

Irrelevant to the New Testament Church today.

  3. Talmadge Hobbs says:

Part of me says, “Well, I certainly agree with that.” While the other part of me says, “Ya know, I could learn a lot from a presentation Like this.” Could I listen better? You betcha. Could I have more initiative? You betcha (again). The relevant question is, “Will I listen better and hove more initiative?” $64,000 question.

If Dorcas could be a deaconess, and Lydia, and ????, would the church benefit from women being in positions to influence the New Testament Church? I certainly think so.
