"Those who worship God weekly have the best sex"

Those are the words of Family Research Council spokesman Patrick Fagan:

“Those who worship God weekly have the best sex… I want to see this on the cover of Playboy sometime.”

He’s also quoted as saying:

“Those who are monogamous have the best sex they ever could – because its the only sex they’ll ever know.”

Oh my.

OK… questions for you:

1.  Do you think that people who worship God have the best sex?  Why or why not?

2.  Do you think it’s a wise thing to say that people who are monogamous have the best sex because they have nothing to compare it to?

Don’t you think that most people (even in your church) would disagree, or at least think these statements are goofy?

And if true, do these statements help anyone? anywhere?

I’d love to hear your thoughts…

    1. What is the criteria for “best”? Sex like anything else is to be seen as a gift from God, enjoyed, and then God is to be worshiped for His goodness. It is a cycle of living every moment with reference back to God-that is the design for life and the only true criteria which counts. So godless enjoyment of sex is always going to be viewed as not the “best” option; it goes against the divine order for life.

    2. Monogamous individuals can easily see the lack of fulfillment in continued abuse of God’s plan for sex. They don’t need to compare it to any other experience if they trust God to know what is best.

Following the post that there is a fine line between stating your experience and bragging… I say no comment.

For heavens sake. That is insane.

Redbook Magazine did a studyin the eighties of many thousands of couples and added as an afterthought their religious activities. They discovered, much to their shock, that 1. Christians had the most satisfying sex. 2. More orgasms, 3. More frequent than anyone. Those who prayed together were even more prolific in their sexual practices and more orgasms. If they spoke in tongues it was even better. I advised my Pentecostal friends to emphasize better sex and recruit more people. It is a mark of better communication and better lives.
