Saddleback’s Rick Warren Puts Ex-Con In Pastoral Leadership Role

Former inmate, Danny Duchene has recently been appointed as the lead pastor over Saddleback’s Lake Forest location. In addition to this he will lead Mercy Ministries, a program that works with local inmates. “The Bible says in James 2:13 that mercy triumphs over judgment, and my life is an example of that truth” said Duchene, who was freed after serving 20 years of a double life sentence.
