Why this story matters for church leaders:

The church can serve as an important asset for communities, and church leaders can both tap into that potential and highlight it for others.

  • Tax Free to Serve: Does your church have a strong sense of mission and involvement in your community?
  • Communication Matters: From congregation members to community leaders, take time to highlight your church’s service and involvement so that more people can get involved and value your church.
  • Benefits vs. Burdens:Some communities see churches as property tax and traffic liabilities, so communicating our mission and benefits may be one of the most important first steps in effective outreach for a growing church.

Are there key community connections you can make over the next year?

How can you improve dialogue with those outside of your congregation? Find this story interesting?  It’s just one of dozens of stories great leaders are reading about this week in Ministry Briefing! All readers of my blog can get the next four issues of Ministry Briefing for just $1!
