I try really hard to keep margin as a part of my planning for ministry. Two things that eat the margin –
When I over-estimate myself. When I think I can do something faster or better than I actually can… and end up behind.
When I procrastinate. My schedule has margin built into it but not if I procrastinate on things I need to do. When I let the important but not urgent grow to important and urgent, I destroy my margin.
I find myself marginless a lot…hard fight to win. I don’t if it makes me grumpy…but it definitely impacts my facial expressions.
