A third-generation pastor, Schuller Wyatt was scheduled to appear on the Hour of Power broadcast where her brother Robert “Bobby” Schuller III preaches. But when word got out that Schuller Wyatt had written God and Boobs, she was unceremoniously dumped via email from a church executive who gave no explanation.
Schuller Wyatt ’s father, Robert A. Schuller II , offers a possible explanation, “Angie has tackled a subject that is taboo in Christian circles. She answers the question, ‘how do women balance faith and sexuality in a real and authentic manner. I am disappointed that the religious establishment is not embracing her message.”
Schuller Wyatt ’s response to why she wrote God and Boobs is as uncensored as the book title. “I’m tired of religious bullies dictating to women how we should live our lives. In my work as a pastor, I counseled too many women who felt ashamed of their sexuality and were silenced into submission. I am trying to empower them to feel good about themselves.”

1. Schuller granddaughter writes book with ‘boobs’ in the title
2. She gets disinvited to appear at the Crystal Cathedral, where her brother is now the pastor
3. Her father (who was let go from the Crystal Cathedral) says that he’s ‘disappointed that the religious establishment’ (i.e. the Crystal Cathedral, now pastored by his son) is not embracing the book.
Man… can you imagine the Christmas dinner in that family?

Well, I’m hooked. Too funny. I’ll probably read it just to see what her thoughts are. I agree it’s an important, ‘not talked about’ topic. And with a title like that, she’s already gained attention whether the book’s any good or not. I just wonder how much shelf space Lifeway Bookstores will give to it.
