John Piper: You Can’t Leave the Church and Keep Christ

John Piper weighs in on his view of people that leave the church but say they still love Jesus (from this week’s edition of Ministry Briefing):

From church politics to red tape, it’s easy jaded about church. But, can one love Christ and abandon church? Author John Piper says no. “If he is the Jesus of the Bible, you take the whole Jesus. You can’t carve him up in pieces. And the whole Jesus is the Jesus who loves the Church. He died for the Church” Piper reflected.
