How should church leadership deal with pastoral moral failure?

Immediate termination?  Sabbatical?  Mandatory counseling?

When does church leadership need to act on what they know.

And what should church leaders do when their leader falls AFTER they have tried to work through issues confidentially and internally?

These are tough questions.  Here is Matt Steen and my’s attempt at sorting these things out…

What do YOU think?

  1. Fred says:

That is what happens when a pastor is worshiped and allows himself to be worshiped. Nothing has made me sicker than sitting under a pastor railing against sin and commanding others to be perfect, only to find out later that he was enjoying the sins you were struggling against. Then church members are against you for speaking out against him and they “stand behind” the “man of God!”
