This just in… God HAS to be a Baptist…
Because when he speaks to Jim Bakker, he alliterates his message. Look… see…
So, according to Jim Bakker, there will be an earthquake hit California. A really bad one too.
And more hurricanes.
I’m sorry… I’m sure I’m more cynical that you.
And that does neither one of us any good.
But why does God tell Jim Bakker these things?
OK… my real question… DOES God tell Jim Bakker these things?
Any thoughts?
Todd

Only in alliteration!!! Seriously, though, He seemed confused and unsure of his message. Where in the Bible does it say that California is going to be hit by a devastating earthquake? I can’t find it anywhere! Am I reading the right version? I share you cynicism, Todd.
Not batting for Jim Baker with this comment. Not fighting either. Just an observation. An apology for being cynical and then continued cynicism. The law of “But” in my own life is that whatever I say before the word “But” does not count. For example, “Let this cup pass from me, BUT, not my will be done but but yours.” or “not my will be done but yours, BUT, let this cup pass from me”. Not having a go at anyone am just reminded of how easy I, me, the writer of this comment uses BUT to carry on down a path that might not always reflect Him. Thankful for His mercy and that He put the word “BUT” in the right place and order. Thankful that this post (honestly) reminded me of an area I so need to grow.
Why, oh why do folks like him long for Old Testament stuff and get all hung up on the status of modern-day “Israel” instead of preaching Jesus?
Not much of a prophesy to say there will be hurricanes for the Gulf Coast and earthquakes for Cali. The Gulf Coast is luck to dodge several hurricanes every year.
