Conservative Christians and Jews Resist Female President

While American Muslims will not think twice about a female president, conservative Christians and Jews have shared their resistance to the idea of a female president based on their take on biblical gender roles. Owen Strachan, formerly of the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood, noted that there is no explicit scripture that forbids a woman from serving in a political office, but he prefers that women remain in the home and men serve in leadership positions.
