Wait, I thought there was a conspiracy against Matt Chandler… how did he make it into the video?

Amazing how I get goosebumps from watching people get dunked… that was pretty cool. I also am utterly amazed by the amount of controversy in that video: TD Jakes, James MacDonald, Matt Chandler, and who knows what I missed… but they all came together, and a bunch of people apparently know Jesus because of this.

    Thanks for posting this.

      GREAT perspective, Matt!

But wait. What about doctrine, Matt.

TD Jakes is a modalist, and James MacDonald is a compromiser of the gospel.

The only one that was good in that whole group was Matt Chandler, whom they censored.

Here’s what they should have done in the video: denounce their hellish doctrine, explain how they’ve totally corrupted the true meaning of the gospel, then shown ALL of Matt Chandler’s message.

Short of that, this thing was a total disaster.

You must not be getting a piece of the action on this one.

Why are you so snide and unloving, Matt?

It is my spiritual gift… and I have a double portion.

Sometimes it seems that Jesus wins in spite of the church and those who play with him get blessed. Todd, thanks for showing the highlight of His victory here.

    All smiles.

Let’s hope they build well on this start.

Revivals are ongoing movements not events. Let’s pray Jesus gets more room and more worship in the participants lives as they leave the mountain top and enter back into the valleys of life.

It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice. (Philippians 1:15-18)

Cliff, that put this whole thing in context for me. Thanks for pointing to the Word on this.
