Church Salaries Are Increasing

A study of financial data from 1251 churches found that pastors and executive staff received an average pay increase of 3.1% and 73% of the churches interviewed had grown in attendance during the past five years. In addition 36% of these churches had grown by 30% or more. The larger the church, the higher each staff member’s salary was reported to be. Churches averaged one full-time staff person for every 76 attendees.
