Why this story matters for church leaders:
There may be no greater priority for ministry leaders than ensuring the safety of those who attend their churches, and the proper training can make a significant impact.
- Official Training Needed: The average person is not qualified to detect and effectively deal with a sexual predator in a church.
- Restoring Trust: Many have lost trust in the church due to failures of leaders to ensure the safety of children.
- Clear Guidelines:When suspected abuse arises, church leaders need to know they are following the proper guidelines in order to protect all parties involved and to help police conduct an effective investigation.
Are there steps you can take to review the safety of children in your church this month?
